Fed up of lockdown – the Santa’s, helped by our volunteers,  opened up The Bulging Sack on Burghfield Recreation Ground for summer week-ends allowing local residents to enjoy a drink in the park with their friends and family and in the process help raise some much-needed funds for the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. All in a safe socially-distanced way.

1,500 local residents enjoyed:

• Not quite Burghfest but we did have a great selection of real ale and craft beer from our local breweries including
  • Rebellion, Beer Co
  • Siren Craft Brew
  • West Berkshire Brewery
  • Loddon Brewery
  • Ascot  Brewing Company
  • Double-Barrelled Brewery
  • Little London Brewery
  • Bond Brews
  • Wild Weather Ales
  • Stardust Brewery 
• Chilled Lager and Tutt’s Clump Dark Fruit Cider
• Red, White & Rosé Wine and Prosecco
• A range of Posh Gins and Tonic, especially the Rhubard Triangle Gin and Ginger Ale with frozen Rhubard instead of ice.
• Food by the Gourmet Queens

Thank you all for helping us rasie  £6,000 for
Thames Valley Air Ambulance

St Patrick’s Day celebrations at The Bulging Sack Craic featured:

• Green Guinness
• Paddys Pilsner
• Real Ale from Elusive Brewing, Cider from Tutt’s Clump plus a range of posh gins, Jameson’s Irish Whiskey, top quality wines, and Irish Prosecco.
• Live not very Irish Music 
• Special St Patrick’s Day Quiz by The Leprechaun (aka Rudolph!)

A great craic was had by all despite the looming threat of Coronavirus.

• Launch of the Santa’s Mobile Bar The Wandering Sack that featured:
  • Burghfest award-winning beer from Loddon Brewery
  • A range of posh Gins
  • Santa’s Mulled Wine
  • Santa’s Hot Nuts
• Christmas Quiz by Rudolph
• Live Music

and in the process raised over £3,000 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance

 

200+ Burghfield residents enjoyed a great nights out, that featured

• A full-stocked bar serving a range of local beer, cider, wines and prosecco
• Easter Quiz by the Easter Bunny (aka Rudolph)
• Live Music from Roger ‘Splodge’ Watson

and in the process raised money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance

200+ Burghfield residents enjoyed two great nights out, that featured

• A full-stocked bar serving the Burghfest award-winning Santa Brews by New Wharf
• Christmas Quiz by Rudolph
• Live Music

and in the process raised over £3,000 for Thames Valley Air Ambulance
